Description
Interim Operations and Maintenance Director for an extended assignment with a Greenfield 2G/3G network operator in Afghanistan.
Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of the telecommunications industry and developing technology trends
- 7 years operations & maintenance management experience within mobile operating companies, including at least 4 years at Operations & Maintenance Director level
- Excellent command of English (written & spoken)
- Experienced in development of operational processes & procedures
- Experienced in recruitment, training and motivation of professional staff
Ideally:
- Senior role within the launch team of at least one new mobile operator
- Experience working in challenging environments in the MENA region (eg Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Libya etc)
Start date: End of 2012/Beginning of 2013
Term: Assignment duration will be 6 months (25 weeks) with the possibility to be extended or to become permanent
Location: Kabul, Afghanistan
Package:
- 800 USD per day, 6-day work week (approx USD)

- Per diem of 50$/day for food
