Mechanical Packaging Designer - CAD - ECAD - EMC - CCA - Flexi Manufacture
My client is seeking experienced Mechanical Packaging Designer to join their team on a 6 month rolling contract based in Hertfordshire. My client would be looking for the correct candidate to start and interview ASAP.
Responsibilities:-
- Definition of bespoke Mechanical Packaging designs housing CCAs.
- Interpretation of Sub-System Specifications and generation of 3D models/designs on CAD (ProEngineer).
- Generation of CCA Interface Definitions including electronic data exchange to ECAD tools.
- Carry out investigations into a full range of Mechanical Packaging problems, issues or developments and develop and prepare solutions, individually or as a member of a project team.
- Support/liaise with manufacturing, resolving manufacturing problems & defects.
- Support to functional & environmental trials.
Skills and Knowledge:-
- Experience in specification, design & manufacture of Electronic Sub-Systems.
- Knowledge of the following: Manufacturing processes, EMC, Gaskets, connectors to BS & military specifications, tolerance studies, environmental test, thermal management, materials, CCA/Flexi manufacture, electronic components.
- An appreciation of other engineering areas/domains.
