Description
Escalate Media is looking for a part time Website Designer with a solid background in UI. We run a network of niche community based websites and we need someone who can layout pages, work on graphics, and create an easy to use user interface for our visitors. You’ll be working with a team of coders and marketing experts so while coding and CSS skills are a plus, they are not required. A successful candidate will be able to produce sketch layouts, flow diagrams, detailed wireframes, and a final design layout with a good eye for colors, fonts, and ease of use.This is a part time contract job that may lead to a permanent position depending on work available and performance. We are located in Chicago, IL so we would prefer to find someone who lives in the area first before opening it up to telecommuting. This is NOT an entry level position.
Company Requirements:
- Ability to work 20+ hours a week
- Able to work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to chat on the telephone, be available in our company IRC chat room, and be able to be on Instant messenger throughout the day for communication purposes
- Must be US based. Chicago area preferable.
Job Requirements:
- At least 3 years experience in web design, UI design, and graphic design.
- Excellent eye for simple, beautiful, user-friendly designs
- Excellent mockup skills—ability to quickly create visual UI mockups
- Expert knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop
- Expert in web site usability
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to design multiple innovative solutions to complex problems
Salary is dependent on skills and performance, expectations can be discussed in the interview process.
