Description
Mechanical Design Engineer urgently required for prestigious Surrey based client. As the Mechanical Design Engineer you will be working within the design team to develop and detail working designs, complete Structures & Subsystems designs using 3D modelling tool solidworks. The Mechanical Design Engineer will complete manufacturing drawings to enable the designs to be manufactured and support of manufacturing activities and inspections as well as complete Interface Control Drawings and be able to apply sound mechanical design principles in developing designs. The right candidate will have experience in documenting and implementing design changes using Engineering Change Notices (ECN). We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who has relevant experience in some or all of the following areas is essential:Good analytical skills
Ideally a user of FEA packages, but not essential (Solidworks Simulation or ANSYS)
Good experience using SolidWorks CAD tool
Competent in MS Office suite
High attention to detail is paramount to ensuring that the finished sub-systems will
function as designed
Flexible; able to work on a variety of projects
Good time management
Good team working skills and communication skills
Ability to plan and manage own work
Highly self-motivated
