ROLE OVERVIEW: Defining the system level design of a complex system integration programme. In particular the logical and physical design of the system is currently being defined this will be followed up by a more detailed technology specific design. This role will be customer facing and therefore customer liaison will be required

AT THE COAL FACE TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES
* Definition of system aspects as directed by the System Design Team Leader
* Maintenance of system integrity and coherence during the design process
* Formalisation of solution description, architectural design and requirements
* Formalisation of the components specification used to develop the solution
* Demonstration that the solution satisfies the overall approved operational need.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / PROVEN ABILITY
* Model Based System Engineering Design ability; logical and physical design modelling utilising appropriate behavioural and structural views
* A proven ability with the production of System-Subsystem Design Specifications
* A proven ability with physical security systems
* A proven ability with the production of Interface Design Specifications
* Requirements management and tracking tools (i.e. DOORS) & Requirements Analysis
* Familiarity with the design of SCADA applications
* Ability to interface well and communicate effectively at all levels
* Highly organised and detailed oriented
* Ability to work with innovation and creativity to think differently and move the business away from the norm

ADDITIONAL: WE SEEK x3 SYSTEMS ENGINEERS WHO HAVE WORKED IN A MILITARY / DEFENCE ENVIRONMENT / INDUSTRY WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS OR WHO ARE CAPABLE OF OBTAINING SECURITY CLEARANCE (SC LEVEL MINIMUM)
