Engineer Planning Manager

My client is looking for a Engineer Planning Manager for a 6 month contract in West Yorkshire.

Role

Support the Engineering function and to contribute to the achievement of overall factory objectives by ensuring that engineering tasks are developed and maintained. Ensure compliance with all Legal & statuary compliance. Manage and control engineering work orders and systems, planning of internal & external work activities and reviewing contractor risk assessments and method statements. Identify critical spares for equipment and ensure our stock is at all times to a satisfactory level, replenishing spare parts as required.

Key accountabilities

To coordinate and plan engineering activities through the CBM & PPM system to drive effectiveness of weekly work plans to achieve the lowest possible downtime and improved production efficiencies. Organise work plans to enable the Engineering Team to hit KPI targets on compliance to planned preventive maintenance schedules. To review and develop a Planned Maintenance System ensuring the content is correct, completion times are specified and the frequency of inspections reflect the running hours of individual plants/lines. Review outstanding jobs and associated PM's to ensure alignment thus minimizing plant downtime. Essential Skills

*Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and email/calendar systems;
*Ability to understand issues and problem solve;
*Good written and verbal skills;
*Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
*Willingness and ability to learn;
*Flexible attitude to work;
*Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment to deadlines.

Desirable:

*Working knowledge of IBM Lotus Notes
*Experience working within a Logistics or Purchasing department
