Our client is looking for a Supplier Quality Inspector with a heavy engineering background to join their long established company on a 3 month temporary basis!!Previous Experience:
Previous experience of product verification to relevant drawings, standards and specifications.
Experience should have been gained in a quality role within an engineering environment.
Experience in measuring machined components to precision tolerances.
Understanding of Geometric tolerances.
The role will involve inspecting castings etc at client site to ensure that products are up to the required standard, and therefore some travel will be involved - all travel costs and time will be paid for.
Has experience of inspecting welded assemblies and has the ability to identify dimensional non-conformances
Able to use a variety of measuring equipment - Vernier calipers, micrometers etc.
Has a good eye for detail
The person will be able to interpret mechanical assembly drawings, sketches, test drawings
Should have good written and oral communication skills, and be computer literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
