SAP MM WM Consultant
Our client is currently looking for a SAP MM WM Consultant for a 12 month contract that will be based near Gent.
The job specification is as follows:
Command Assisting the module specialist Logistics (SAP MM/WM) in the following areas:
- Maintenance and support (root cause analysis of problems, definition of a solution and implementation) of the SAP WM system
- Project analysis (during the definition phase of a logistics project the full impact on the SAP Back End system mapping, and propose different solutions, business guidance in choosing the final solution)
- Projects (implementation of the logistics part of SAP projects) and more specifically PRJ 403 Inventory management with significant impact on the logistics processes within the company
- Functional assignments for study in the framework of logistics projects
Expected knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of SAP MM & WM integration aspects with other functional modules (mainly Finance).
- Good knowledge of ABAP programming language (providing functional specs, problem solving & debugging of ABAP programs, user exits, function modules, performance improvements, enterprise services).
- Good knowledge of automation capabilities within SAP and application integration in general.
- Good knowledge of the warehousing business processes and best practices
- Good knowledge of the current situation within logistics
Expected experience
- Minimum 8 years experience as a SAP consultant in the fields as described under expected knowledge
- Experience with ABAP programming is required
- Experience in SAP logistics projects or maintenance tasks on complex SAP systems
- Experience in the utilities sector
Additional specifications
- Communicates fluently in Dutch and has a good knowledge of English
- Can in a very short time, build knowledge around processes and their implementation in SAP
- Can completely independently and with minimal support complete tasks
- Experience with ITIL processes is an asset
