Description
Software Engineer required to undertake modifications of existing acoustic acquisition and signal processing software written in Borland Delphi. Generate stand-alone software packages to support the main acquisition and processing software, in Delphi (essential), Labview (essential) and Matlab (desirable).Due to the nature of work, it is anticipated that the successful candidate would need to hold SC Clearance.
The successful candidate will have significant experience designing and building integrated and stand-alone utilities in Borland Delphi. Significant experience designing and building executable Labview stand-alone utilities with experience of Labview 2010 or later. You will also ideally have experience of interfacing with instruments for data collection and instrument control. Detailed understanding of data manipulation, modelling and presentation algorithms to implement and subsequently debug software code. A physics background with knowledge of acoustics would be ideal.
Knowledge of and experience in professional documentation of software in accordance with ISO.
The role is based near Dorchester with some travel required to additional sites.
