Mandarin speaking technical translator ideally with an understanding of Software Development currently required by my Hong Kong based client.
I am looking for a technical translator based in Hong Kong, who can work at my clients centrally based office 2 days a week and assist them by translating from (Chinese) Mandarin to English in terms of both written and spoken. My client can be flexible on the days, and can work around you but the role requires someone with excellent (Chinese) Mandarin to English translation skills.
Ideally my client is looking for someone with good IT experience and any knowledge of Software Development as that is the industry they are in, Engineering would also be advantageous (although not essential).
My client is looking for a translator to spend 2 days a week in their Hong Kong based office acting as the translator between their China based supplier and my clients internal staff (based in HK).
This is a 3-6 month part time contract role, initially working 2 days a week - but it is highly likely to roll on for many months to come and would suite a professional contractor.
