Major Hertfordshire based Design and ManufacturerGENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Provision of first class finance support to the UK business annual turnover 52m. Manage a finance team of 6 responsible for financial & management reporting, accounts payable & receivables, tax & treasury. Key role in UK Management team.
Background:The UK finance team are well established with good sound controls in place, recent clean audits from both internal and external audit.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:- Present to UK management team business performance
- Attend monthly divisional forecasting meeting, reporting on profitability & cash
- Drive good cost control and cash management
- Prepare monthly rolling forecast
- Work closely with UK sales team to determine sales forecast
- Responsible for timely month end close and meeting divisional reporting requirements
- Hands on analysis of month end result
- Responsible for budget and quarterly reforecast process
- Ensure business maintains good controls in line with Group and Divisional policies
- Support divisional process changes
- Develop accounting processes and controls
- Cash flow forecasting and other management information reports
- Manage relationship with external and internal auditors
- Provide accounting advice to the business
- Provide advice to the UK Managing Director and the UK Management Team, input into the UK business site strategy
- Development of UK finance team
- Responsible for providing transaction support for divisional office
SKILL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:- Qualified accountant ACMA/ACA/ACCA
- Relevant, demonstrable experience
- 10 years PQE
- Strong confident interpersonal & communication skills
- Good knowledge of SAP
- Tenacious and prepared to get into detail
- Manufacturing experience an advantage
