Role: Senior Electronics EngineerLocation: East Midlands
Rate: £25-30 per hour
Length: 3 - 6 months
We currently a requirement for an experienced and flexible electronics/firmware engineer to work on a project which will include working with Altera and Xilinx FPGA's, analogue and digital design and software design .
The client is an award winning, fast paced and rapidly growing company who work provide a unique set of image sensing products in a range of industries. Your role will involve debugging, developing, testing and characterisation of system electronics. The successful candidate will come from an electronics or physics background and be able to pick thing up quickly and work under pressure.
Key skills:
- Analogue and Digital electronic design: including prototyping, schematic design and PCB layout using CADstar.
- Experience of developing FPGA firmware using the Altera Cyclone family FPGAs and NIOS II processing cores.
- Experience of developing FPGA firmware using Xilinx Spartan 6 family.
- Software design in C/C++, visual basic and assembly code for the Analogue Devices ADSP range.
- Good design practices for EMC
- Good communication skills
- Experience of reporting and documenting with MSOffice
