Instructional Designer - Cheshire

The Instructional Designer is responsible for constructing storyboards which identify the content required to meet the training objectives of the project and provides comprehensive story-boards for the Multimedia Developer in the appropriate style, structure and sequence of presentation of each page and learning interaction to enable them to assemble the course.

Skills and Qualifications
Educationalist training in the development of instructional material, in particular in the area of adult learning (formal teaching qualification, Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training, etc.), or relevant workplace experience
Familiarity with technical writing
Familiarity with principles of performance measurement
Familiarity with multimedia/elearning and training delivery via these methods
PC Skills

Specific Responsibilities
Develop learning objectives and ensure content matches those objectives
Review and rewrite content to shape it for the identified learning needs
Structure sequence of presentation of content and activities
Identify media and interactive requirements to support learning and provide development instructions
Develop continuous assessments and end-of-course assessments which measure knowledge development and attainment
Produce a complete, written storyboard package for the Multimedia Development team
