Description
Our Telco client is looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to join their team.
The role involves:
- Completion of Database LLD
- Design database schemas based on data feeds HLD
- Build the zones & NFS databases (Dev/Test/Production/DR)
- Completion of Mobile Data Migration from FMS (or alternative source such as MZ) to database (complex process and service impacting).
- Completion of Fixed Data Migration from MCB (or alternative source such as CDW) to database (complex process and service impacting).
Key Skills:
- At least 10 years experience working as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) using Oracle 10g/11g.
- Experience of working with very large databases and high transaction databases.
- Experience in upgrading and migrating Oracle databases.
- Experience in tuning databases for optimal performance.
- Experience in SQL, PL/SQL programming and UNIX Shell Scripting to automate tasks.
- Knowledge/understanding of the Sun Solaris 10 operating system
- Relevant experience and knowledge of one of more of the following physical and/or virtual environments as appropriate to the Database systems supported:
o Open Systems platforms - Solaris, Linux OS, - Storage, archiving, backup and recovery technologies as relevant to Database systems
- Shell Scripting as relevant to Database systems
- Server and storage system utilities relevant to Database systems
- Basic IP Networking
- Database and application security best practices and information security management
- ITIL-based processes: incident and problem management, Asset & Configuration Management
