Description
Experis Finance is looking for an experienced Pension Investment Strategist for one of its clients.
The role will include:
- Provide specialist advice to senior management and Members on the strategy to be adopted by the Pension Fund
- Prepare reports that recommend a way ahead, as well as monitor current performance and topical issues
- Supervise compilation of the Fund's year end accounts, managing the year-end process, to ensure year-end reports and accounts are provided to the Panel and the auditors, to deadlines and to professional standards
- Act as the lead advisor on all strategic and policy matters relating to the Pension Fund
- Act as the lead advisor to the Administering Authority's Pension Panel, to Members and the Fund Treasurer
- Determine and advises on the most appropriate strategies for the Pension Fund, consistent with the Fund's policy objectives
- Carry out in depth research into new investment opportunities and liaise with the Fund's independent advisor on these
- Bring any issues of interest to the Pensions Panel, with a requirement to formulate policy, via reports and briefings with appropriate recommendations
- From time to time, lead on various procurement exercises, for example, Fund Managers, Transition Managers or Actuaries, to secure these services for the Pension Fund
- Manage a team to provide a strategic pension fund service, administered by WSCC, to all Fund employers and employees, to include accounting, performance management, business planning and compliance with national governance standards
