Description
Primary Function:Organize and Manage production operations and engineering. Work in a team environment to efficiently, and safely, plan and execute daily production operations and installation of new surface facilities.
Skills / Experience / Education Necessary:
- Effective team player, leader and communicator that is results driven, but places high value on safety; the environment; and regulatory compliance.
- Must be operationally proficient in managing onshore production operations and surface facilities.
- Must be capable of recruiting, leading, motivating and retaining the workforce required to execute assigned operations in the most efficient manner possible.
- Must be capable of representing the company to governments, communities and landowners.
- Must possess firm understanding of best industry practices for execution of assigned operations and be capable of solving problems.
- Must have ability to manage multiple, fast track projects with dedication to obtaining desired results and a strong drive for continuous improvement.
- Must be capable of making critical decisions under pressure and managing emergency situations with confidence and ease.
- Must maintain a professional attitude when dealing with others.
- Must be flexible.
- Good PC skills are required.
- Minimum 15 years of industry experience is required, with emphasis on production operations and engineering.
- Engineering Degree Required.
Principal Duties, Responsibilities or Accountabilities:
- Establish new field offices as required;
- Provide leadership and direction for production operations, including representation to the governments and communities of our operations;
- Attract, develop and retain quality superintendents and lease operations personnel;
- Be a visible leader in the field on a routine basis and during critical operations;
- Ensure operations are conducted in a highly ethical manner;
- Ensure operations are conducted within regulatory compliance;
- Ensure that best value is achieved from third party contractors;
- Hold all personnel accountable for results, including accuracy of daily reports;
Production and Facilities:
- Meet or exceed production volume budget;
- Meet or exceed LOE budget;
- Ensure financial statements are correct with respect to produced volumes and LOE;
- Ensure surface facilities are constructed safely and efficiently;
- Ensure compression is optimized;
- Ensure new well locations are staked, bid and constructed properly, including wetlands determination and erosion control.
- Ensure surface facilities are operating as necessary so that gas and liquid sales are maximized;
- Ensure SCADA systems are maintained and functional;
- Ensure that produced and sales volumes are secure, and accurately measured and reported;
Production Engineering:
- Monitor production and identify uplift / optimization potential;
- Develop budgetary and AFE cost estimates;
- Develop well plans and procedures that utilize best available / applicable technologies to repair or uplift wells;
- Execute projects in an efficient manner;
2. HSE Leadership:
- Provide visible HSE leadership for area of operations
- Ensure operations in areas of responsibility are conducted within HSE compliance and with a focus on reducing incidents;
- Ensure that employee safety meetings are held at least monthly and that all employees attend;
- Participate in HSE field reviews;
- Organize and participate in annual Contractor HSE Meeting;
- Ensure that 100% of assigned employees complete required training;
