Description
HUDSON IT & TELECOMS ARE SEEKING A CONTRACT SQL Server DBA RESOURCE FOR AN IMMEDIATE START.
- The position requires at least 5+ years of DBA experience in an IT Environment/ECommerce Environment
- 3rd Level qualification required - Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science preferred
- The ideal candidate will have experience with large-scale, highly available distributed DB systems.
- The ideal candidate must have strong SQL Server experience
- Innovative approach to systems architecture, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability and scalability
- Ability to work on multiple projects spanning many teams
- Ability to take ownership of upkeep and operational stability of SQL Server and/or MySQL Servers
- Excellent Windows and/or Linux skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of additional DBMS technologies,
- Understanding of supporting infrastructure components, including operating systems, hardware/storage configurations and networks is preferred.
- Knowledge of Oracle BI is a plus
