Mechanical Design Engineer with AutoDesk Inventor
Mechanical Engineer with experience using 3D AutoDesk Inventor to join a company specialising in bespoke machinery equipment for a minimum 4 month contract. With a minimum of 4 years CAD commercial experience the Mechanical Engineer will also have a background in specialist equipment/machinery design.
Providing bespoke 3D CAD based client projects to a value of £1.5 million attention to detail is critical!
Job is 95% design with 5% project management and typical duties include:-
- Initial client contact , site survey and feasibility studies
- Client approval of initial design
- Production of detailed 3D CAD Inventor drawings
- Specification of components, BoMs, (pneumatics, machinery, motor design etc.)
- Continual contact with client to ensure they are happy with final design
- Client approval and sign off
- Finalise Manufacturing drawings
- Site install and on going client support
- Full documentation & Risk Assessment
This role offers the successful Inventor CAD Design Engineer an opportunity to work on unique and varied projects. Any experience in conveyors, special purpose machinery, electronics, Programming of Servo Systems (Rockwell) would be beneficial.
