JOB DESCRIPTION

This role includes responsibilities to install, administrator, tune and monitor Linux Servers as well as Oracle Application and Database administration. Responsibilities related to Oracle ERP Project implementation and execution of ERP in a proper planned method. Will provide all aspects of technical support in a proactive and reactive mode to ensure that the ERP systems perform with the terms of their respective service level agreements.

Hands-on administration experience in Oracle ERP modules like financials, SCM, HRMS and Project Management as well as developing strategies on current administrative procedures to improve overall efficiencies. ORACLE E-BUSINESS SUIT

Should be able to customize the Oracle reports and modules as required by Management.

Will act as the project coordinator from ERP implementation and continued operations.

Troubleshooting of Linux and HP servers

Upgrade and patch management - System monitoring and troubleshooting

Oracle database administration - Security authorization and role management

During Oracle ERP Implementation time, has to work closely with the Oracle ERP application development team and functional analysts.

Liaisoning with vendors on contract negotiations, defining project scope and customizing data base/reports to suit company needs

Training and development of staff in oracle ERP maintenance and use

Suggest and implement up-gradation of company’s software and hardware systems from time to time and develop user manuals and policies

Carry out monthly and quarterly audit of IT systems and procedures/polices at regular intervals

Generate and submit MIS reports on weekly and monthly basis

Any other duties assigned by the management

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

Working and Troubleshooting of Red Hat Linux, Oracle Application and Oracle Database. Good working experience with oracle ERP is essential

Excellent communication skills, good knowledge in MS office (excel, word, power point), above average skills in servers, computer hardware etc are expected. Working experience in multinational companies/Big Corporates will be an advantage. Good knowledge of HP hardware with Linux operating system

Must be very Smart and Result oriented with ability to work extended hours hand on when needed.
