One of the world's most globally recognised investment banks are in search of a Middleware messaging engineer to bolster their ranks.
The client is looking to develop an already experienced middleware messaging consultant to include the specialised Solace technology. They appreciate that this is a very niche technology and therefore previous experience is not a requirement for applicants.
Any exposure to IBM Websphere MQ or Tibco RV/Rendezvous/EMS is hugely advantageous.
The position in question will focus upon providing Communication Middleware Support services with a focus on Message-orientated Middleware Technologies using Solace Systems.
The main duties of this role will cover all aspects of the service delivery including middleware consultancy, support, solutions, unit / systems testing, vendor management and DR invocation / testing.
Desired skill set:
- Solace systems (not essential but any experience is beneficial)
- IBM Websphere MQ
- Familiarity with TIBCO messaging products (RV,EMS, IBM MQSeries)
- Linux / UNIX / Windows operating systems including command line operations, shell scripting and fault analysis
- Hands on experience in support of medium-to-high complexity message-orientated middleware deployments
- Previous experience supporting message-orientated Middleware in a business / time critical environment
- Degree educated with IT experience in a financial environment (advantageous not essential)
- Great communication skills and the ability to develop relationships
The global presence of this company will often necessitate employees to work extended hours throughout the week so candidates should therefore be flexible with regards to this.
