Reservoir Engineer is urgently needed to fill a position inHouston,TXwith an independent energy company primarily engaged in natural gas and crude oil exploration, development and production withinNorth America.

Progressive Global Energy & Natural Resources specializes in delivering first-rate professionals to the Oil & Gas industry. I work specifically with Reservoir Engineers and have been hired to execute an executive search to fill this role as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have background in most aspects of subsurface evaluation including petrophysics, rock mechanics, PVT systems, lab methods for core analysis, nodal analysis and reservoir simulation. Experience with non-conventional development and field operations are desirable.
  • Work with a multi-disciplined team to optimize the value of acreage and identify new opportunities.
  • High level analytical skills are required through the use of Excel. Experience with MatLab or Mathematica and the ability to manipulate large datasets and mine data for trends is desirable.
  • Evaluate subsurface data and recommend innovative data acquisition programs
  • Interact with completion engineers, geologists and geophysicists to evaluate completions and maximize hydraulic fracture effectiveness.
  • Determine appropriate input parameters and construct multi-well simulation models, history match with a range of input variables and forecast production with a variety of development scenarios.
  • Perform economic analyses of projects and programs.
  • Experience with rock mechanics, mini-frac analysis and frac propagation modeling would be beneficial
  • Provide technical support for SEC reserve report filings
  • Mentor and develop less experience technical staff


Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering (Preference B.S. in Petroleum Engineering)

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.

3 to 7 years direct experience background in most aspects of subsurface evaluation
