This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic qualified German Reviewer. The suitable candidate must be a native German speaker with excellent linguistic skills and a very good level of English, as well as having a strong technical background.This end-client is a young and vibrant multinational company operating at the cutting edge of internet-based IT services and the position would suit an individual who thrives in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
Working closely with the German language specialist, linguist will:
- Review and audit content translated by agencies (UI, Help, Marketing materials, Legal, etc.).
- Provide feedback and work with vendors to improve quality of translations.
- Help ensure client's quality requirements are followed by all vendors.
- Maintain terminology in glossaries and TMs when required.
- Fix linguistic bugs when required.
- Interact with translators and other reviewers in linguistic discussions.- BA/BS in translation or a related discipline.
- Experience as a translator/reviewer.
- Experience in the fields of marketing/online advertising, social media a plus.
- Detail-oriented, quality-focused, flexible and proactive.
- Knowledge of translation tools, Idiom preferred.
