IC Design Engineer/ Mixed Signal

A defence client based in Southmapton are looking for a contract mixed signal designer to work in support of their IC design team.

You will have strong analogue / mixed signal IC design skills based on formal qualification and experience gained from working on complex IC designs. Working at transistor, cell or block level you will have the ability to translate design requirements into verified design solutions quickly and accurately to achieve the specification and project schedule.

Skills, qualifications & knowledge:

*Able to use industry standard IC design tools (Cadence preferred) for schematic design, simulation, physical layout and verification.
*CMOS technology and foundry process knowledge
*Complex analysis, modelling and problem solving
*To work to specification and program schedule
*Ability to work with other engineers
*Ability to demonstrate an innovative approach
*Ability to apply information supplied to complete design and verification tasks.

Key responsibility areas:

*To work to design specifications
*To complete mixed signal design and development tasks
*To generate and complete rigorous design verification tasks
*To generate and capture verification evidence
*To work to design processes and procedures

Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be eligible to gain UK Security Clearance. Therefore to apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
