Description
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System implemented by Management. He/she prepares the plans and actions necessary to achieve this and is responsible for the control and implementation of the "Quality Manual".The documentary evidence should take the following form:
* Quality Assurance Manual (QAM)
* Works (Manufacturers Facility) Quality Assurance Programme (WQAP)
* Site Quality Assurance Programme (SQAP)
* Project Specific Quality Plan (PSQP)
To this end, the Quality Manager performs the following functions:
* With direct responsibility to Managing Director, directing, coordinating and supervising the work in the various areas of the Quality Department.
* Implementing the Quality Policy and documenting it.
* Carrying out audits to verify the implementation of and compliance with the Quality
Management System.
* Reporting to the Manager and the Project Manager about the operation of the Quality Management System and proposing improvements in the periodical revisions of the System.
* Under the supervision of his/her Manager, coordinating procedures and actions with other Heads of Departments and Services.
* Approving the General Procedures and Quality Assurance Manuals.
* Approving the lists of Qualified and Approved Suppliers.
* Approving the Quality Plan issued by the client for the execution of the Project.
* To carry out Audits, on both the company and the Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers, in order to verify the implementation of and compliance with the specific Quality Plan for the project.
* Approving the documents regarding Quality requirements for supplies and construction.
* Managing the process of inspections, trials and tests of materials, components and
equipment to be supplied to site, and in respect of the construction, erection and installation activities.
* Approving the final Quality dossier to be issued by the company for delivery to the CUSTOMER.
* Coordinating with the CUSTOMER the implementation of any corrective actions during the project.
* Controlling and filing the Quality documentation generated during the execution of the Contract.
* Participating in Project management meetings as required.
* Invitation to and coordination of quality kick off meetings for manufacturing, construction/erection and commissioning prior commencement of works.
* Invitation to and coordination of FATs and inspections according to specific ITPs.
* Invitation to and coordination of SATs and inspections according to specific ITPs.
Functionally, he/she assists the Project Manager and is hierarchically and directly accountable to the Managing Director.
