10 Month+ Daily Rate Contract
Role
To work as part of the Technical Services team with responsibility for installation, configuration, maintenance and support of all technical infrastructures including:
- Microsoft Windows XP, 7 and Server
- Microsoft Office Suite 2007 and 2010
- Lotus Notes
- Polycom Video Conferencing and Audio Visual
Principal Responsibilities
- To provide first and second level help desk support as required. This includes troubleshooting help desk calls and escalating, where necessary, to the appropriate support teams.
- To support the Desktop, Printer and Video Conference infrastructure within the organisation.
- To assist with the delivery of infrastructure projects.
- Monitor and resolve the Incident and Service Request queues with an adherence to SLAs.
- Ensure that resources are available for new starters.
- Support and test the Disaster Recovery environment including the regular replacement of Desktops and Printers.
Skills/Experience
- 3+ years technical experience focusing on Windows Operating Systems (Desktop & Server)
- Good working knowledge of Active Directory Windows 2003
- Good understanding of LAN/WAN and TCP/IP
- Analytical, problem solving, and client servicing skills are required to provide technical support. Organisational skills are required to prioritise service calls.
- Strong attention to detail
- Third level qualification within IT discipline.
