10 Month+ Daily Rate Contract

Role

To work as part of the Technical Services team with responsibility for installation, configuration, maintenance and support of all technical infrastructures including:

  • Microsoft Windows XP, 7 and Server
  • Microsoft Office Suite 2007 and 2010
  • Lotus Notes
  • Polycom Video Conferencing and Audio Visual

Principal Responsibilities

  • To provide first and second level help desk support as required. This includes troubleshooting help desk calls and escalating, where necessary, to the appropriate support teams.
  • To support the Desktop, Printer and Video Conference infrastructure within the organisation.
  • To assist with the delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor and resolve the Incident and Service Request queues with an adherence to SLAs.
  • Ensure that resources are available for new starters.
  • Support and test the Disaster Recovery environment including the regular replacement of Desktops and Printers.

Skills/Experience

  • 3+ years technical experience focusing on Windows Operating Systems (Desktop & Server)
  • Good working knowledge of Active Directory Windows 2003
  • Good understanding of LAN/WAN and TCP/IP
  • Analytical, problem solving, and client servicing skills are required to provide technical support. Organisational skills are required to prioritise service calls.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Third level qualification within IT discipline.
