My client, a leading Medical Device Company based in Minnesota, now has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to lead on the development of new and existing medical devices within the Cardiac area.

This leading Medical Device Company has undergone a period of rapid expansion and is now in need of a talented Software Engineer to meet rising demand from internal projects and products streams. On a day-to-day basis the Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, enhancing and sustaining software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices.

Candidates for this position must have the following skills and experience:

- 8+ years Software Engineering experience

- Strong experience with Realtime, Embedded or Multi-threaded systems

- Advanced C / C++ Programming Skills

- Work experience within a highly regulated industry (e.g. FDA or FAA)

In addition, it would be advantageous if candidate's had one or all of the following skills:

- Strong Hardware knowledge

- Eclipse or Green Hills development environment

- ThreadX OS

- PEG Library

- ARM Microprocessors

Furthermore, successful candidates for this position will be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of software engineering practices, technology trends and working knowledge of domain expertise. Successful candidates will be able to define, analyze and interpret needs and requirements for a single component and translate this analysis in solutions to address multiple requirements.
