My client is currently looking for a Senior Search Developer, for a key role in the design and development of our newest federated search enterprise store and API.
This is a key development role requiring very strong technical and communications skills. The Senior Search Developer will be responsible for design and development of key components of the system, collaborating with a team of business analysts and external developers.
This is a hands on development role and requires a strong software development background.
Experience
- 5+ years' hands on industry experience, ideally working with large data stores.
- Very strong experience in JSON, XML, XSD and XSLT.
- Very strong experience in xQuery or xPath.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases, preferably MarkLogic Server.
- Experience in RESTful services.
- Experience working with Enterprise Data Stores or in Data Warehousing environments.
- Experience working with Enterprise Search.
- Experience of Internet Information Services 7.
- Experience of Windows Server 2008 R2/2012.
- Experience of Red Hat Linux.
Desirable
- Experience of .NET Frameworks 4 and 4.5.
- Experience in C#.
- Experience of Unit Testing and Mocking tools, preferably Test Driven Development.
- Experience of Dependency Injection and Inversion of Control.
- Experience in development of educational systems is highly desired
