Description
Public Knowledge is seeking a skilled professional to help in overhauling our existing website. We are interested in people who are skilled in look and feel (user experience, visual design, navigation, etc) and development (any CMS, implementation, testing, etc). Applications for design-only or development-only are also welcome.
In general, we want our website to be an educational resource on the increasingly complex issues we cover. It is also very important that users be able to easily understand the work that we do.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to create a custom website start to finish; ability to recommend CMS that best fits our needs
- Experience working with non-profit organizations
- Experience handling websites with large amounts of content, content types, and pages
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
While we offer the option to telecommute, we prefer applicants in the Washington, DC, area so that we can have in-person meetings on a regular basis.
