Fitter/Electrical Assembler/Wireman/Wirer
Contract - 3 months initially
Rate: Up to £12.00 per hour (Ltd/Umbrella)

The Role
The Wirer will be involved in assembling and wiring complex electronic systems for the defence industry. As a key member of the assembly team, you will be wiring control panels and small scale electrical equipment connecting static invertor drives, variable speed drives, convertors and specialist control consoles from assembly drawings, circuit drawings and wiring schedules. The wirer may also be required to assist in other assembly duties when required.
The Candidate
As an experienced wirer and fitter you will have experience of assembling and wiring a range of electronic systems. Ideally you will have previously worked on defence projects but candidates with experience of wiring complex electronics equipment within a similar regulated environment such as automotive, aerospace or rail will also be strongly considered. You will have demonstrable experience in panel wiring and detailed wiring, previous experience of working to IPC 610 or 620 standards would be preferred, but candidates with experience of cable and wiring harness assembly and an appreciation of wiring systems will also be considered.
Candidates must be eligible for UK Security clearance.
