About the Role:

  • Technically lead the implementation of large scale infrastructure roll-outs
  • Work with the Project Manager(s) to interpret High Level and Detailed Designs to work out the activities and estimates required to implement the designs and complete the build activities
    Work with Architects and Designers to understand the solution
  • Help co-ordinate multiple vendors

Specify detailed requirements to Vendors including:

  • VLAN requests
  • Load Balancer requests
  • Device Connectivity requests
  • Firewall requests
  • Storage requests
  • DNS requests
  • Blade and Chassis allocation
  • Server Network Profiles
  • Troubleshoot problems within environments
  • Ensure the implementation matches the design

Essential Technical skills required:

  • Linux
  • Virtualisation - OVM
  • Networking
  • Load Balancing
  • Oracle Products including WebLogic, Database, Middleware, Web Tier
  • HP Blade and Chassis
  • SAN storage
  • DNS
  • Previous experience in these areas at least at a high level is essential. The more detailed experience in specific areas the better.
  • Ideally someone who has worked in infrastructure delivery teams, with a minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Someone who is used to working in a dynamic working environment, who can handle large scale fast paced delivery, but who also has attention to fine detail.
