IT Project Manager, San Diego, BiotechnologyEstablished biotechnology company is seeking a Project Manager to assist in the planning, coordination and execution of future business development.
Key Features
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Technology, Business or life science; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree and/or MBA preferred.
- Analyze business, technical issues and risks in order to develop strategies and plans for remediation. This includes creating a formal project Plan and forming a project Team, gathering all appropriate resources and forming a structured plan.
- Working with the application teams and the Business teams allowing you to provide guidance and planning for coordination on the overall Infrastructure activities within the project.
- Identify critical activities, "quick wins", and cost saving opportunities within infrastructure, and effectively work with the eBusiness team to implement them.
- Assist in the successful implementation of Process Improvements for project execution and assist in the development and maintenance of the Project framework as part of the overall PMO framework and implement best practices from the industry.
- This position interacts with all levels of personnel internally and externally requiring the ability to communicate verbally and in writing policies, procedures and activities and provide good customer service.
Skills
- 5+ years of Project Management experience. PMI or PMP certification a plus.
- Experience in eCommerce (Cart, Checkout, Search, Content, Commerce, etc.)
- Experience in the following applications (Comergent, DAY, FAST, E1, Siebel, Agile, Hyperion, SAP, etc.), with good background about the Biotech industry is preferred.
