We are looking for a GIS Business Analyst to work at our multinational client in Stockholm/Sweden.

Expected tasks and deliverables by the Consultant
  • Analysis of user requirements and transfer them into the design of GIS components/applications;
  • Provide GIS support for geospatial analysis, stakeholder analysis, and risk management plan;
  • Support the development, customization and maintenance of the Web GIS components of the Enterprise GIS;
  • GIS technical support to integrate the Enterprise GIS web components within internal;
  • Design and implement client ArcSDE Geo-databases;
  • Manage the geospatial data collection, including quality control procedures on the data to ensure its accuracy;
  • Draft and maintain technical GIS documentation on achieved tasks and deliverables;
  • Work closely with the Web GIS developers to ensure that the developed components are in line with the project goals;
  • Ability to establish priorities and multitask;
  • Perform any other supporting GIS tasks related to this level of expertise.

Educational and experience

  • University degree with minimum 4 years of experience in GIS, or non-University degree with minimum 6 years of experience in GIS and geo-database management;
  • Strong knowledge of Web Feature Services (WFS), Web Map Services (WMS), Shapefiles;
  • Extensive experience in ArcSDE Geodatabases design, implementation and maintenance;
  • Extensive experience in developing and working with SOAP/REST map services;
  • Extensive experience in GIS technical documentation writing;
  • Experience in development for SharePoint technology.
  • Excellent knowledge of ArcGIS Suite (preferable version 10 suite) and professional experience in its practical application (including Arc Info, ArcGIS Server and extensions such as Spatial Analyst, and Geostatistical Analyst);
  • Strong knowledge of ArcGIS for SharePoint and ArcGIS API for Silverlight technology;
  • Strong knowledge of different geospatial methodologies, tools, analysis and professional expertise in their practical application;
  • Extensive experience in sourcing, formatting and processing GIS data in a standardized way;
  • Extensive experience in UML modelling and OOP design;
  • Familiarity with the EU INSPIRE directive;
  • Knowledge of MS SQL;
  • Experience in applying GIS to public health purposes;
  • Very good command of English: oral and written.

Candidates must have a passport of an EU member state or a valid work permit for Sweden.
