WHO WE WANT TO HIRE
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior web developer to help build a new web based application. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, and extensive database and PHP development experience. You should be able to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines. You should be comfortable wearing many hats. You will be part of a small, collaborative team of talented engineers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5+ years experience building websites using PHP, Javascript and MySQL.
- Expert in PHP5 and MySQL5
- Solid understanding of database design and architecture.
- Strong foundation in object oriented programming
- Experience working with an MVC framework.
- Experience writing unit tests.
- Working knowledge of source control software (SVN or Git).
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree
OTHER SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, OO Javascript
- Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and implement in short time.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with NoSQL solutions (Mongo, CouchDB, Redis, or similar)
- Cocoa programming (Mac OS X, iOS)
This is a 6-month contract position
