Description
We are currently recruiting for a Senior PowerBuilder Developer to join a large and complex government organization on an initial 6 month contract with further 6 month extension options.
The role of the Senior PowerBuilder will be responsible for supporting, investigating, error correcting and enhancing existing applications in a suite of applications.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Assist the Training Application Team to enhance, maintain and support the existing suite of applications.
- Deliver high quality written code using current departmental and team standards.
- Update the necessary documentation for the applications updated during the enhancement, maintenance or support processes.
- Liaise with business users to provide business support and gather information on business needs for enhancements as part of on-going maintenance requirements.
To be successful for this role you will have the below demonstrated skills and experience:
- Minimum five (5) years demonstrated experience in software development undertaking PowerBuilder and relational databases.
- PowerBuilder version 11.5 or above, and SQL databases such as Oracle, Ingres or Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere.
- Knowledge of PowerBuilder Foundation Class Library is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a team environment is desirable.
- Highly developed communication skills.
