Fiber cable coordinator
We are looking for a resource which would match with the SoW below:
- Coordination role with good technical knowledge of fibre cable activities (at least 5 years experience)
- Experience with outside work and sub-contractor's management
- Able to negotiate with local authorities
- Based at the BT premises in Diegem (near Brussels)
- Needs to be fluent Dutch + French (mandatory).
- Knowledge of Mapinfo and AutoCAD are a plus.
- Starting as of March 2013, and for long term (3 years)
- Budget: max 300 per day (it is a bit tight but it is a long term position).
More details scope:
The 2 main tasks are field supervision and treatment of plan & coordination request.
- Field supervision & control of respect of BT specifications (MAIN TASK)
- Check if BT contractor is performing the activities according to BT specifications.
- Treatment of all plan & coordination requests sent to BT.
- Quality control of contractors & suppliers delivery/execution.
- Check if BT contractor is performing the activities according to BT specifications.
- Attend coordination & werf meetings.
- When attendance is required the local authorities will inform by mail, phone or letter.
- Develop relationship with local field authority (supervisor from local authority)
- Negotiation ROW & Permitting (private & public).
- Permit request are sent to BT. BT will request the permit approval.
- As build field measure & follow up with engineering supplier
- Take measurements of the duct and cables and provide it to sub-contractor for updating the MapInfo.
- Inform BT when Inttos has updated MapInfo. BT will inform sub-contractor to update Cocon.
- Contractors Planning Management & Stock Material Management (fibre materials)
- Re-routing of ducts (planned works): field supervision - external follow up.
- Inform and advise BT on cost distribution.
- Responsible for Site survey (site visit, writing document & internal/external distribution)
- Perform site survey with BT contractor and customer to determine the best possible option to connect the customer.
- Coordination between Civil works & fibre works activity's
- Fibre Outage: field resolution follow up during working hours.
- Advise the BT fibre contractor to resolve the fibre outage.
