My Client, a Multi National Blue Chip in the South West, is looking for a Sap Support Consultant to join their team ASAP for an initial 3 Months.Operating within the BAU support team, the successful candidate will be helping at 1st and 2nd Line Support level within SAP.
Key skills:
- 2-3 years SAP experience
- Come from an ITIL background
- Breath of knowledge across different SAP Modules (SRM desirable).
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide daily operational support to the SAP Service Delivery Manager.
- On a daily basis review status of SAP tickets whilst also working with 3rd party vendors to align ticket progress.
- Ensure that incidents and changes are managed within SLA.
- Implement SAP daily check processes including batch and process chain monitoring.
- Support the SAP change/release process to ensure the transport process is managed, controlled and followed.
- Enhance the SAP workflow management process.
- Capture status of Change Requests to ensure business requirements are progressed.
- Define method for monitoring spool reports & interfaces.
- Support the client refresh activity.
- Provide groundwork support for the planning of the patching exercise including enhancing test scripts, aligning resource, writing supporting documentation and controlling the development freeze.
- Support the foundation for KPI reporting.
- Complete data analysis activities.
- Support audits and licence submissions.
- Generate and maintain SAP Super User documentation.
- Provide support in writing working instructions.
- Implement controls for managing new starters and leavers in SAP.
- Undertake testing of SAP databases for Sign On Requests.
- Develop call scripting for the IS Servicedesk
- Improve knowledge transfer within the SAP team by sharing previous SAP support experience and capturing processes in form of documentation.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong SAP application support experience across all functional areas.
- A background in supporting SAP end users.
- Experienced in maintaining SAP documentation.
- Demonstrable incident management experience following ITIL methodology.
- Strong understanding of dealing with high volume of support calls.
- Appreciation of the requirement for strong supporting documentation.
- Experienced in dealing with a 3rd party vendors.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent analysis skills including experience in data manipulation.
- Excel & Powerpoint skills required.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to work under pressure.
