The time frame for the project start is mid to late February.
This project is for a CMS backed website that will have some unique data and display requirements. This request is for a back-end developer that has experience and skill with content management systems, MySql, shopping carts, and working with semantic HTML templates.
A short Overview of the project?
The CMS will utilize supplied, and working HTML templates, CSS and javascript (jquery). The bulk of the site will use a single template. A small portion of the site will be a catalog of services (not ecommerce). The services will have a list view and a detail view contained within the list view using a modal UI device. There will also be a Packages page, which are groups of services and have nearly identical requirements to a Service. All pages will have promotional areas that are independent entities that will link to a service and or standard page. Some services will be associated with a gift-card product and the gift-card will be purchasable as a standalone product, not associated with a service. The home page will be a construct of promotions. This will require promotions to have similar properties to a service or catalog item.
The Back-end Dev. Role?
The scope of work for the developer will be limited to back-end functionality, CMS dashboard, serving the pages/views, application deployment and dashboard documentation. The front-end developer will be responsible for layout, functionality and browser and device compatibility of the UI.
The RFQ, contains a great amount of detail including Site Maps, Wire frames, CMS dashboard requirements, user flows, and ERDs for Services, Packages and promotions. The documentation is exceeds the size of the site.
Although the technology used needs to meet the business requirements, most common CMS (drupal, django-cms, joomla, etc..) will probably be suitable and will be chosen by the winning candidate.
