Flint Consulting is currently looking for a Senior Networks Core Engineer for a role based in Dublin. You will need to have 5 year's experience in a Mobile Operator environment. We are looking for a positive, self-motivated individual with a consistent professional approach who enjoys learning, challenges and ability to give strong direction through clear decision making abilities.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following
- Knowledge of Design, Engineering, Implementation capabilities across the Core Nodes, both packet and circuit - ie design and/or operations skills around supporting Ericsson HLR, MGW, MSC, etc.
- A strong working knowledge of SIGTRAN, MPLS, VAS call flows, configuration and associated protocols is a must.
- Familiarity with setting up, and testing Corporate Private Networks, Interconnects and Licensing Statistics on a Mobile Network
- Familiarity with OSS-RC, Business Objects, Cramer and Agilent Signalling Monitoring and Ericsson MML Language is desirable.
- Familiarity with integration of Access Nodes into the Core Network (RNCs, BSCs) an advantage.
- Ability to read business cases for Mobile Core related projects, and perform Impact assessments.
- Capacity monitoring of Core Nodes
- Ability to create process documentation
Desirable:
- Awareness of LTE networking, IP Based knowledge, Future Technologies & Keeping current to continued Telco Industry Developments
- Proven track record in vendor, MSP, & Partner management
Skill Requirements:
- Proven experience of 5 years or more in a Mobile Operator environment, or Vendor in that field, utilising Ericsson Core Technologies.
- Ability to self-manage and work effectively within a team, and be able to ensure the work pipe tasks are delivered consistently within SLA.
- In dept knowledge of Core Network Business as Usual Tasks
- As this is not a learning opportunity, the candidate will be expected to hit the ground running on the above with minimal introductory period.
- Have relevant certification and experience in Mobile Technologies.
- Cisco CCNA or above would be advantageous.
