Duration: 6 month contract w/possible extension

Hours: 40 hrs per week, M-F, 8am to 5pm
Pay Rate: $28.00/hr
Front End Developer - Intermediate
Contract Length: 6 months
Description
Enthusiastic Front End Developer needed to assist in designing, developing, and maintaining
both internal and external web-based applications and sites. The candidate must have
experience creating web pages from concept to completion with a strong emphasis on utilizing
industry best practices. The position will be working closely with both the Front End and back
end teams on a variety of projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
-Implementing designs with an extreme attention to detail
-Refining and implementing our Front End framework for developers to use as they build pages
-Organizing assets and CSS for better performance across all the browsers we support
-Coordinating requirements and implementation with our Back End team
-Creating animations that add to user experience
-Squashing pesky CSS and JS bugs across multiple platforms
Preferred Skill Set
-Strong knowledge of HTML5/CSS3/Javascript/jQuery
-Solid experience testing and developing for multiple browsers and devices
-Experience with responsive layouts and the best ways to implement them
-Basic understanding of usability principles and techniques
-Comfortable interfacing with Back End services and guiding JSP development
-Ability to define and maintain complex and well crafted stylesheets across a network of web applications
-Well written and spoken English
-Able to perform in fast-paced environment
-Strong willingness to learn!
Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience in professional web development working on public-facing websites and applications
-An online portfolio or github account demonstrating familiarity with our requested skill set
-Use of CSS Preprocessors such as Sass and Less a plus!
-Experience with Subversion version control a plus!
