My client is looking for a new senior compliance executive to join their global debt markets teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for lending advice and assistance to the global debt market teams within originations, syndication, credit and rates, structured products, FX and treasury. The job holder will be required to take a proactive approach when identifying potential compliance weaknesses and establishing measures to rectify them. To accomplish this you would need a sound understanding of FSA regulations and how they can be practically applied to the business as well as experience in policy drafting, design and amendment.
The ideal candidate would be at compliance manager level or another senior position in the compliance world. Ideally I am looking for someone who is currently working in or who has recently worked within a large, international investment bank.
For this role, you will be responsible for providing regulatory advice and dealing with queries and assessing & amending policies and procedures. You would need to be aware of new and updates FSA regulations and be able to provide training on them to other members of the team. Another aspect is that you would need to work with the central compliance teams and conflict management group to monitor that conflicts have been appropriately managed in line with the banks procedures.
I am looking for someone with experience of working in a compliance team in an investment bank, preferably within an advisory space. Experience in capital markets and Fixed Income is highly prized as well. The client is also looking for someone with a strong knowledge of products and market practises within investment banking, Fixed Income and capital markets. We want a strong communicator, with preferably an accounting or legal education.
This is a contract role for 3 to 6 months and there is a strong possibility of extension based upon mutual agreement.
