This GLOBAL IT corporation requires a developed SECRUITY/ANTI VIRUS SUPPORT ANAYLST to join their team ASAP. You will be working closely with the Anti-virus team to ensure that the managed ANTI-VIRUS infrastructure is kept up to date. If you have had extensive knowledge and experience supporting ANTI-VIRUS products including but not limited to McAfee, Symantec and Trend on an enterprise level WE WANT YOU!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configuration of the Anti-Virus application (McAfee, Symantec and Trend)
  • Creation of required process and procedure documentation
  • Assist in troubleshooting of errors with the Anti-Virus product
  • Assist in the remediation of customer virus incidents
  • Engage relevant service delivery teams as required
  • Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures as required for the Anti-Virus Management team.
  • Review Anti-Virus thresholds and filters on a regular basis.
  • Review Anti-Virus policies and configuration on a regular basis.
  • Adhere to audit compliance strategies to ensure security and business processes are part of BAU activities
  • Retention of artifacts using internal in house repositories
  • Liaise with other technical areas and anti-virus vendors where necessary to ensure customer reported problems are resolved to customer satisfaction
  • Identify and analyse known MALWARE events, triage and escalate accordingly to the relevant groups
  • Participate in an on call roster for Problem Management (24 X 7 Support)
  • Project planning and management for multiple projects.
  • Any additional activities as directed by the Security Manager

Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge of McAfee Anti-Virus products and how they work on an enterprise level
  • Ability to apply Anti-Virus solution on a enterprise level
  • Understanding of security postures/policies
  • Security terminologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues with Anti-Virus product
  • Ability to troubleshoot and triage Anti-Virus events/incidents
  • Comprehensive knowledge of networking terminologies

This team provides 1st and 2nd level support and remediation of known MALCODE and aligns closely with IBM CERT Threat Assessment team in regards to unknown MALCODE. Being able to take ownership of tasks and directing staff as required to ensure delivery of security services to the contracted level. Advise peers, IBM senior staff, IBM executives and the customer in order to make decisions necessary to ensure that the security of the customers environment maintains intact.
