Senior Test Analyst, Dublin, Contract, Agile, Scrum
Axica Recruitment has an urgent need for a Senior Test Analyst for a 6 months contract in Dublin. The Test Lead will have primary responsibility for ensuring the completion of testing tasks for one or more projects. Working in an agile/Scrum development methodology, the Senior Test Analyst will review user and functional requirements and provide feedback.
The successful Test Lead will have primary responsibility for ensuring the completion of testing tasks for projects and will proactively engage with all team members including developers, business users and business analysts.
Responsibilities Include
- Identify complex or sensitive problems that have been escalated to the executive level
- Demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills required to establish effective working relationships with clients and/or business partners
- Research, learn, apply and distribute information within the organization regarding Software Testing tools, techniques and market trends
- Manage test activities (resource/cost/schedule/metrics) medium to large projects.
- Provide direct input to project estimates and documentation (Project Plan document, Design docs)
- Contribute to definition and refinement of testing processes and procedures and apply analytical skills to determine testing strategies
- Direct the work of test analysts and testers
- Review project requirements, plan and prototype and provide input
- Create test plans and trace matrices to requirements and test scripts
- Write, review and execute formal test scripts including setup and data requirements, procedures and expected results
- Ability to use agile planning and effort methods to estimate tasks and create schedules
- Lead teams of up to three analysts; act as Senior Test Analyst for medium to large projects, or concurrent small projects
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or local equivalent, in life sciences, business, technology, information technology or related discipline
- Prior relevant experience as a Senior Test Analyst
- Has worked on projects through the full development life cycle with some exposure to agile practices such as Scrum/XP
- Experience in administration and use of test and defect management and automation applications
- Ability to accurately estimate tasks and create schedules
- Has effective skills in dealing with peer and/or subordinate interpersonal issues
- Has excellent written and oral communication skills as well as facilitation skills
- Experience with query, configuration management and defect tracking tools
- Understanding of technology and development language concepts
