Senior QA Engineer, Galway (Contract)
An excellent client of ours is looking to make a number of new hires into their business. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Vendor, Requirements, Analysts, Engineering, and downstream testing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, create and implement test strategies from both a functional and occasionally a performance perspective.
Execute these suites across the Test, UAT and Production systems.
Participates in formal reviews of business and functional requirements and application designs.
Defines and implements quality process improvements focused on defect prevention.
Coordinates test schedules, work and resource plans; manages progress of all test activities against plan.
Establishes testing entrance and exit criteria, working with the project team.
Ensures execution of project regression test tasks.
Analyzes and reports overall test status and results.
Identifies test issues and reports
Defines regression tests for future projects.
Defines and coordinates production verification and validation.
Maintains user/external group and vendor relationships.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Adhere to standard QA practices
Qualifications:
5+ years in an IT background with at least 3 years in a QA or Business Analysis role.
Strong relationship, co-ordination and influencing skills.
Good knowledge of Software Lifecycle Management, Project Management and Change Management Processes.
Good Unix skills essential.
Perl/Shell or QTP experience
