Based in the North of Birmingham, this large Secondary School is seeking to appoint an outstanding Maths Graduate with a 1st Class or 2.1 Degree to work as a Teaching Assistant. The role is full time, long term until the end of the academic year in August 2013. This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for a top Maths Graduate looking to secure classroom based experience before.

In your role as a Teaching Assistant, you would initially be supporting within the Maths Department with a focus on driving forward Numeracy at Key Stage 3, 4 & 5. As the successful Teaching Assistant you will be working with pupils who have a range of learning difficulties, and would require you to work with them on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

In your role as a Teaching Assistant, you will be led by the fantastic Head of Department, who will be supporting you in every aspect of your role and help train you into becoming a successful Teaching Assistant. You will be given support and direction, but will also be required to use your initiative and take an active role in the classroom.

The school is located to the North of the city and has excellent bus links. They recently posted outstanding exam results that saw them placed within the top 10% of schools nationally for progress in students' academic results. The school caters for pupils from 11-19, with recent Ofsted reports deeming them as 'Outstanding' and providing 'exceptional care, guidance and support to all students."
