This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Developer to gain exposure in a retail banking environment.

About the Role:
A vacancy exists for a Front End/UI orientated Senior J2EE Developer to act primarily as a Technical lead on project releases. The successful candidate will be required to lead & mentor small/medium sized development teams, manage all aspects of the SDLC and be involved in technical decision making

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor other developers in relation to improving team capability, quality and development effectiveness to meet key project development milestones.
  • Using agile as the main approach, deliver to key Systems Development Life Cycle stages (Design, Build, Test) in terms of quantity, timing and quality of all aspects of work allocated.
  • Develop, program and code technology applications software solutions to meet agreed specifications to a high level of quality.
  • At times, work with Business Analysts to analyse business processes, procedures and user requirements in order to establish system requirements.
  • Participate in system design including production of system and program documentation.
  • Create relevant SDLC documentation and provide advice regarding applications to enable support function to work pro-actively.
  • Contribute to post implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of the solution provided.
