About the Company/Position:
You will be joining one of Australia's largest Cloud Managed Services teams in a company heavily commited to provide one of the leading cloud capabilities in Australia. The Cloud Solution Engineer role is a key role in Professional Services team, to lead the delivery of complex technical solutions to some of the Companie's largest strategic enterprise customers. In this role You will be helping the Senior Architect in consulting with customers on cloud solutions, how to migrate to cloud, and will be accountable for the Post Sales Architecture of the solution as well as assisting with changes to existing Infrastructure.
Ideally this would suite a Senior Engineer with a Networking and Server background that is passionate about Cloud solutions and is ready to progress to an Architect or Pre-Sales role.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the end to end design and development of solutions to meet client requirements, ensuring technical integrity of design and capability to deliver
- Design and implement changes to existing Infrastructure
- Lead a virtual team to draw together the necessary technical knowledge base from within the company, its partners, and the customer
- Undertake tasks requiring technical understanding, diagnosis, qualification of solution fit, and definition of support needs for proposed solutions
- Develop technology road maps for specific and integrated service offerings, researching, evaluating and recommending new and/or alternative technologies which will enhance current systems
- Provide in-depth technical advice and service to clients/or and internal stakeholders to ensure development of efficient systems, utilising established architecture standards, processes, methodologies and tools.
- Act as a source of expertise across the business providing a range of advice and input into technology and service solutions decision-making, and future ICT technology directions and delivery.
- Work closely with Project and Build team to ensure delivery
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience in enterprise Cloud and Virtualisation technologies -
- Diverse background Ideally: Cisco, F5, Juniper, and Vmware and Storage
- Some architecture experience inclucing designs for VMware, Enterprise Storage networking and security
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Strong relationship building and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team to achieve business objectives
- Results Driven
- Sound knowledge of ITIL
