My client is a central Government body seeking an interim to take on the role of Contract and Performance Manager. The ideal candidate will be a chartered civil engineer, with a background in contract management, ideally on Highways Agency/NEC style contracts, with experience of auditing.

The teams role is to ensure contract management and audit arrangements are in place, and that the performance of the division and its suppliers is effectively measured and reported.

Key tasks in the role:
- to assess the justification for quantum of contractual compensation events
- undertake supplier audits to ensure adherence quality plan
- ensure risks and opportunities are managed effectively
- to agree supplier performance and defined indicators

Key deliverables:
- produce audit reports
- investigate non-conformities and contractual queries, and provide responses and contract advice

Required experience:
- must be a chartered civil engineer
- a background in contract management is essential
- exposure to Highways Agency/NEC contracts
- must have experience of auditing
- experience managing civil engineering projects, including design and build up of cost required
