My client a leading Cork based company has an excellent opportunity for a Software Development Project Manager to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. This is a challenging position working on a variety of development projects
Skills Required:
- The candidate will have a minimum of 10 years working experience in a software industry preferably with a development background.
- A minimum of 5 years Software Project Management experience.
Proven success in delivering software products within a product management life cycle. - Proven track record in working extensively with product managers and business analysts in a software house, defining and establishing technical requirements, shaping project plans and meeting strict deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple full life cycle projects simultaneously
- Experience of working to tight schedules.
- A solid understanding of SDLC with the ability to effectively define goals and work within the development team.
- Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience working with a remote development team.
- Extensive experience working with MSProject
- Excellent communications skills with the ability to motivate and influence.
- Willingness to undertake foreign travel when necessary.
Additional skills desirable:
- A degree or equivalent in a related engineering or computer science discipline
- Knowledge of Java and Eclipse technologies
