VB6/SQL Server Developer - Contract - Daily Rates - Cork CityThese will be technically challenging positions, working on a major n-tier enterprise application to a tight deadline. The roles will require constant interaction with other developers in the team, the SCM function, and project management to develop a robust, scalable, and performant enterprise system. The successful candidate(s) for this role will have a minimum of 5 years commercial experience in Microsoft technologies and will demonstrate a high degree of technical literacy and proficiency in VB, C# and SQL Server technology.
Responsibilities:
Requirements analysis & Application Design
Providing accurate estimates and timings to project managers
Delivery of application developments using standard development methodologies
Mentoring other developers within a project team
Ensuring all QA procedures are satisfied in terms of process and documentation.
Technical Profile:
5+ years commercial development experience in VB 6.0
Very Strong skills in T-SQL and Stored Procedures
Experience in C# and the .NET Framework would be of considerable advantage
Good working knowledge of SQL Server
