Spring Technology are looking for a Traffic Caseworker for our public sector client based in Leeds.

Job Purpose:
- To work as part of a team providing support for the independent Traffic Commissioner (TC), to enable him/her to undertake their statutory duty in relation to licensing and regulating the goods (HGV) and public (PSV) service vehicle operator industry.
- The role requires the handling of the administrative arrangements for preparation and implementation of public inquiry (PI) and impounding hearings. To action the TC's decision/instructions and the service of case papers to appellant bodies.
- To issue warning letters; process in-office revocations, prepare Section 9 statements and Section 43 certificates; prepare submissions to the Traffic Commissioner regarding all casework.
- The role will also require an accurate record to be kept electronically with supplementary documents uploaded onto the Operator Licence Business System (OLBS). Complete all internal service level agreements for the collation of management information.
- To provide administrative support within the Office of the Traffic Commissioner to provide effective; efficient; concise and accurate submissions to the Traffic Commissions regarding all casework received.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. To provide a quality PI and impounding service hearing for the TC and attendees.
2. To provide concise, accurate and full data submissions from raw data received in a timely manner.
3. To provide a comprehensive and accurate record on OLBS of all PI cases by inputting details.
4. To reply to all correspondence assigned to them by their Team Leader within 5 working days on behalf of the TC received into the Office of the Traffic Commissioner.
5. To process in-office revocation cases referred to the Office of the Traffic Commissioner (OTC) by CLU or NIU.
6. To respond to requests from enforcement bodies.
7. To provide general administrative support by:-
* Assisting the driver conduct colleague as and when required.
* Assist the OTC submission team as and when required.
* Answering customer queries on the telephone; email; letter or personal visitors.
* Meeting internal and external requests from stakeholders/customers.
* Handling post opening and despatch.
* Maintaining local case monitoring records, assisting with ad-hoc requests for statistical information
* Constructive and active participation at team meetings
* Adopt the LEAN processes within the organisation.
* Actioning any management instruction as required.
